We had a lot of requests from our members that would like to understand how our literature process works. To make this understandable we provide a completion of NA’s seventh book—Guiding Principles: The Spirit of Our Traditions—represents a major accomplishment for Narcotics Anonymous and concluded a six-year journey initiated by a regional motion passed at WSC 2010. A project plan approved at WSC 2012 activated two Conference cycles of gathering input, drafting chapters, and revising the text in response to feedback from the Fellowship. A final draft of the entire text was made available for Fellowship review in the 2016 Conference Agenda Report. It was met with overwhelming approval by the Fellowship at the 2016 World Service Conference.
